Ah, the long awaited new entry by slave boy! It's been a long several weeks. Deli work isn't so bad, having to wait on customers after years of not doing customer service, well, that's another story.
I'm putting in 45-60 hours a week. Didn't think the job would entail so much time. I started out on the schedule at 25 hours. But it's good for me, and good for the household finances. It hasn't been easy on Master, who was used to my being home, and able to accomplish things. Now, She is helping out because this slave boy cannot do it all!
There's one snafu. I haven't received a paycheck yet. I was told last week that it would be straightened out this week. I got to work yesterday, and no paycheck. They have given me two advances, but that doesn't help us in any way shape or form. I'm not quite sure what to do at this point. If i can't get any answers by Monday, i am going to have to start talking to the district Managers, and the people who are in charge of payroll. I'm not terribly happy about this, and neither is Master. This job is supposed to help alleviate the financial burden. Instead, it seems to be adding to it.
*sigh*
I am still showing up for work, and i am still doing the best job possible. That's all anyone can ask of me.
On the home front...Master says i've been resistant to orders. I haven't felt resistance, just tired. i don't know what behaviors i'm exhibiting that indicate this resistance. Usually i KNOW when i am being resistant. It's probably just inability to respond properly due to being tired. Showing a lack of respect, that i know i need to work on. As i get adjusted to all of this, i hope the attitude will straighten out.
That's the update, hopefully i'll be able to provide more on a more regular basis. It was hard this week because Master is on vacation, so She's been home in the mornings, and getting me up to get stuff done. And we've been getting some of it done. There's still a lot of clutter, and organizing to do...but we'll get to that. She's in a shedding mode, check out Her journal for progress in that department. The big news is that She cut Her hair a few weeks ago. It's a bit of a shock, but She now has much healthier hair!
And a healthy Master makes a happy slave boy!
