Today is the day that the adorable darling kitten, Sir Onyx, left this world. After a month-long attempt to bring him back to some quality of life, his condition continued to degrade over the weekend. This morning, he took his last breaths, relieving us of the trip to the vet to have him put to "sleep."
This has been very hard on Master. He was in Her life for 12 years. A constant companion who made the trek all the way from Kansas to Arizona in the back of a packed car. He even got to sleep in a motel room on the way here.
In the almost three years that i had known the Baby Cat, he found a place in my heart. His passing has affected me greatly. I found a box for him, put a towel under him, and got him in the car for Master. We drove to the vet's so that they could take care of the rest. The business of life continues. A trip to Target, to the bank for a money order for Traffic School tonight and tomorrow night, and a visit to one of the new age shops for incense. I was looking for a piece of onyx for Her to put on Her sacred space. They didn't have any. We came home and started cleaning up the remnents of his illness. It took five minutes or so...
It isn't easy to deal with death, or loss of this caliber. How do you say goodbye to a constant loving companion, whose only complaint was "Feed Me!"
Sir Baby Cat will be remembered with love and honor. He will always have a place in my heart as one of those mighty feline fur beings who ruled my life.
