Right now it's all about the packing and the moving!
We received the key today for the new house. The three of us (Master, myself, and our new housemate) invited a few very dear friends to come over for the House Blessing. Master had run down on energy, and was having physical body issues, so She had me lead the Ritual. I haven't done a house blessing with other people before. It was very strange, yet comforting to have them follow me with drums, bells, and energy. We saged all the openings and doorways, we used incense, and some blessing oil that i had received from my Texas Mistress several years ago. Master had loosely translated a Blessing She found that was appropriate for our purposes. It was all very good. One friend brought his didjeridoo (sp???), and made lots of cool sounds with it.
There is this very old and wise pine tree in the front of the house. And a grove of (i think) Acacias in the back, with one other tree between the two bedroom windows. There is lots of grounding energy in this house. Our friends liked it very much. So do we.
It is a good move. It is very stressful, Master and i are snapping at each other, but i think that has to do with our impatience to be out of this apartment more than anything else. I love Her, i really do, it is just hard when there is a constant litany of what to do next, or what is in each box. I wake up to hearing plans about the move. I go to sleep hearing about plans about the move. That will all be over soon.
And during this time i have to work, maintaining an even temper, and not allowing the home stress affect the quality of my job. It's a balancing act. People do it every day. Move. So why is this such a huge thing? Maybe because it is Master's first house. Maybe it is because there are interesting issues surrounding the landlords/owners. Maybe it is just because i DON'T LIKE moving...Hmmmm, pick one.
So i am up late tonight packing the kitchen. That is like the definitive move for me. We also ran out of boxes, and must obtain more. One of our helpers can get more tomorrow, i hope. They will be the perfect size for what we have left. I also still have to pack up my art shelf, and tear this computer down, and move it over...oh, and take apart the desk, the entertainment unit, and move heavy stuff...!!!
Fortunately i am off the next two days. Much moving can be accomplished in two days. I've done it before!
Must continue with packing the kitchen. I want to stop and focus on other things, but i have to have the kitchen done tonight! Focus boy, focus.
