Yesterday was another productive day. I got the vacuum cleaner washed up and not smelling so much. Didn't want to use it in the new house with all the icky from the apartment. Got the a/v equipment arranged in a better way. It was stacked precariously on the floor . All the components at least now have a small entertainment unit to reside on (one i found in the garbage at our old place).

Got the fireplace room straightened up and uncluttered. Vacuumed the great room and the fireplace room.

Went out and returned yet another floor heater that didn't work. Came home, putzed around, and then started prepping to sand the legs for the work stations. Also set up and recorded a movie.

Got the legs sanded and first coat of paint on them. PB came out and was painting as well. It was good to see him for longer than two seconds. Had to run a couple more errands, then pick up Master.

Dinner was simple. Soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Master came home with a really bad headache. I recommended burning some incense. We hadn't done that in a while. I used the "home" incense. It was nice. She watched "The Amazing Race" while i worked on receipts. Then we watched this really cheesy soft porn movie called "Spiderbabe" and made fun of it. It was really, really bad...but some of the outdoor shots were absolutely beautiful. "Secretary" was on, and we were getting sucked into that, but had to go to bed. We have the DVD and haven't even watched it yet. Yikes! And it is such a hot movie, it helped take the bad taste of "Spiderbabe" out of my brain!

All is well with the animals. I put the iguana up near one of the windows yesterday, and he absolutely loved it. He is getting really big, compared to how small and sickly he was when i first got him. The cats hardly fight, and so far no pissing outside the litter boxes...lets keep our fingers crossed shall we.

We had a water scare in Phoenix yesterday. The warning goes through this afternoon. So no washing dishes, etc, so i'm writing instead of cleaning the kitchen...That will happen tonight. Hopefully they'll have everything straightened out by today. It's not a big thing, but it's a thing.

Things i accomplished today!

Today was my first full day off that i was able to spend in the new house. I feel like i didn't do much. Here are the things i accomplished, just so that i feel better.

  • Set up the Wireless Network system on puter. This was a major accomplishment, since after i bought the components and read the setup, it seemed like rocket science.
  • Made all the phone calls Master required of me to change my address/make appointments...etc.
  • Did 5 loads of laundry, and sorted two more that i needed Master's help with.
  • Unpacked and organized 7 boxes of clothes. Apparently i am a clothing whore, and didn't realize it. Put together a FULL box of garage sale/give away clothing.
  • Watched "The Legend of Earthsea." (Not impressed--had already read Ursula K. Leguin's response to Sci Fi Channel's slaughtering of an intense and beautiful story), while unpacking the 7 boxes of clothing.
  • Made a run to the bank.
  • Filled out three rebate forms that came with the three wireless networking components i purchased two weeks ago.
  • Did some input on the bookkeeping for January.
  • Picked Master up from work. Came home, waited an hour, and made a run to the hardware store, and to buy groceries.
  • Cooked dinner, ate, and am now writing.

This was really a lot of stuff in one day. Tomorrow, PB and i are supposed to start working on the desks. Putting together the work stations. I still have to do receipts...catching up on January, so that i don't get behind like i did last year. Diligence is the word here!

I am tired, but it's a good tired. I am concerned, but i can feel the moving stress leaving. Master has been so good through all of this. Neither one of us became over-tempermental considering what we have been dealing with. Sat. night we spent time clearing out the Great Room. Got boxes of stuff put away, and the various torn apart furniture separated and organized to put together and sell at the Garage Sale.

Once the Garage Sale happens, and some of this stuff goes away, i might probably relax just a little bit more. This has been hard on me. I don't like moving, and moving so much stuff seemed so very pointless. However, i am fond of Zen lessons. Maybe that's what this is. A Zen Lesson.

On to a more quiet evening!
