"It is this slave's intent to want what Master wants"

Affirmation Assigned: August

I've been slow to write about the new affirmation. It's easy to remember, hard to internalize. Wanting what Master wants is what every slave feels at their heart. I do want what Master wants, but many times, I want what BOY wants, and it is hard to get back into unselfish space.

I've just come out of some very selfish space. I was angry at having to leave the country club. The new job isn't working out very well. Why do I want what Master wants when in the short term I don't get what I want? Not a very slave-like attitude. With the current changes in life, I do want what Master wants. I want us to get back on our feet. I want Her to go take care of her mom. I want an RV. I want success in all of our endeavors. I want to be financially secure. These are long-term wants. The more immediate short term ones are harder to deal with with. The day to day grind. "Call this person" "Take care of those tasks". NO!I want to surf the web, or watch t.v. or something else besides "chores."

It gets better, I know. I just have to start doing the affirmation to internalize it and learn the lesson.

"This slave is mindful of Master at all times."

This affirmation has been in use for four months. It has been useful for when I've needed focus, needed to remember who I put first. I went through that bit of disturbance for several months, during that time it was hard to focus on the affirmation. I did the best I could.

The last two months I have used the affirmation more. When I sit at the computer, sometimes when I go in and out of the house, and when I do my chores. I still don't remember in the shower, so I'll have to get better at that.

This affirmation has helped me focus on who is the authority in my life, who comes first, and who I need to be aware of. When switching jobs, it was especially useful, to remember to be mindful of Master, to listen to Her, and to accept Her direction in my life.

I am being assigned a new affirmation tonight. We'll see how this one goes.

Affirmation Assigned: 02.14.05

"This slave is mindful of Master at all times."

I've had this affirmation for several weeks now, and haven't yet written anything. It is a very straightforward and unassuming affirmation. i will ALWAYS be mindful of Master.

Sometimes it isn't so easy. i can, of course be selfish and arrogant. Part of the struggle with this slave is to be slave at all times. Not easy when balancing work, and business, and home. Sometimes i have to make priority decisions, and then i feel like i am independent again.

This affirmation is proving useful during the challenges of the last few weeks. I will continue to utilize it to balance those hectic moments when ego steps in the way.
